I just bought CS:GO and installing it, but it just won't work. It just stops after about 15 sec and says that the download has failed due to 'Corrupt update files'. I have tried deleting my local files and restarted steam a few times, but nothing seems to work. I tried taking a look at Steam support, and I saw a few people with the same issue that hadn't gotten any answer from Steam Support.

It sounds like the launcher isn't able to access the information it needs. With the launcher closed, try right clicking on it and select Run as Admin.
